Fuellox Care Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Fuellox Care is an extended warranty service provided by IOTIQ Pty Ltd for Fuellox-branded electronics. This service extends the warranty coverage for the Fuellox PCB only and does not cover other components, including but not limited to enclosures, meters, electrical consumables, hardware, fittings, or any other system parts.
By subscribing to Fuellox Care, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Coverage & Eligibility
- Fuellox Care extends coverage for an additional 12 months with each service renewal.
- Coverage applies only to the Fuellox PCB and excludes all other system components.
- Manufacturer warranties apply to items not covered under Fuellox Care.
- Fuellox Care is a separate service and does not replace regular servicing requirements.
- The service is only available in Australia and New Zealand. Customers outside these regions should check with their local supplier for availability.
- Fuellox Care is available only to customers with active and fully paid service plans.
3. Claim Process
To make a claim under Fuellox Care:
- Notify IOTIQ immediately of the fault.
- IOTIQ will ship a replacement PCB within 1-2 business days.
- The faulty PCB must be returned immediately to IOTIQ for assessment.
- The replacement must be installed by a qualified technician:
- For 240V AC systems, a licensed electrician is required.
- IOTIQ will review the returned PCB:
- If the issue meets Fuellox Care criteria, the case is closed.
- If the issue does not meet coverage criteria (e.g., electrical misuse, installation errors, physical damage), IOTIQ will invoice the customer for the replacement cost.
- If the part is not returned to, or received by IOTIQ within 14 days, an invoice will be issued for the cost of the replacement parts.
- The invoice must be paid within 7 days unless other payment terms have been approved
- If the invoice remains unpaid, IOTIQ reserves the right to disable the unit until the debt is settled.
4. Exclusions & Limitations
Fuellox Care does not cover:
- Electrical installation errors.
- Damage caused by incorrect wiring, power surges, or improper grounding.
- Wilful damage, vandalism, or exposure to conditions outside the product’s operating specifications.
- Failures due to installation, modifications or repairs by unauthorized third parties.
- Repeated claims caused by failure to address underlying system issues.
IOTIQ reserves the right to limit or refuse claims if misuse or repeated failures are detected.
5. Renewal & Expiry
- Fuellox Care is renewed automatically with each paid service renewal.
- Where there is a grace period for Fuellox service renewals, Fuellox Care is not available during such grace periods.
- If a service plan is not renewed on time, Fuellox Care will be void and may not be reinstated retroactively.
6. Transferability & Resale
- Fuellox Care is non-transferable.
- If Fuellox hardware is transferred to a new owner, a new service subscription is required to operate the system.
- Management reserve the right ot offer or withdraw the sale of Fuellox Care to buyers of second hand equpment. .
- The resale of Fuellox Care is not permitted unless by express and written authorization by IOTIQ Pty Ltd
7. Costs & Responsibilities
- Customers are responsible for:
- Shipping costs for PCB returns and replacements.
- Any additional costs related to installation, removal, or labor.
- Invoices for replacement parts if the claim does not meet Fuellox Care criteria.
8. Fair Use & Abuse Policy
- Fuellox Care is provided under a reasonable and fair use policy.
- Abuse is defined as:
- Repeated claims due to avoidable failures.
- Failure to address system-wide issues leading to multiple claims.
- Intentional misuse of the Fuellox Care service.
- Wilful Damage to parts and components, including sabotage and vandalism
- Attempts to retain parts scheduled for return due to replacement
Management reserves the right to deny coverage or cancel Fuellox Care if abuse is suspected.
- Fair Use is defined as:
- Occasional and sporadic use of the replacement service
- Repair to electrical systems that result in damage to Fuellox parts must be rectified as part of the repair (at the customers cost)
- Maintenance to enclosures and equipment that prevents ingress of liquids is the responsibility of the owner
Management reserve the right to charge for replacement parts where reasonable and fair use.
Fuellox Care is designed to provide peace of mind that unexpected faults & failures of hardware are covered by the service. It shall not replace poor practices, lack of care and maintenance or careless and reckless damage.
9. Service Cancellation & Modifications
- IOTIQ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel Fuellox Care at any time, either for individual customers or as a service offering.
- Customers will be notified of any changes to these terms.
10. Liability Limitations
- IOTIQ is not responsible for:
- Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., downtime, lost revenue).
- Damage caused by factors outside of IOTIQ’s control (e.g., extreme environmental conditions, power surges).
- Fuellox Care does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of Fuellox systems.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes related to Fuellox Care will be handled by IOTIQ management in the first instance.
- If a resolution cannot be reached, further action will be determined in accordance with Australian consumer law.
- IOTIQ Reserves the right to refund pro rated fees charged for services and to withdraw the service at any time.
12. Force Majeure
IOTIQ is not liable for delays or failures in service due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or government regulations.
13. Agreement
By enrolling in Fuellox Care, the customer agrees to these Terms of Service, which are in addition to IOTIQ’s existing Terms of Use, Terms of Service, and Conditions of Sale.
