Colin believes the increasing incidence of fuel theft is due to soaring fuel prices. People, desperate and struggling, target parked trucks for siphoning fuel. What used to be small-scale thefts of 20 or 40 litres have evolved into more sophisticated operations, with thieves using pumps and taking large quantities of fuel.
